Common Questions

FAQ for SZO-H5.

Why include 6th-gen Intel as an option?
Some government and institutional procurement specifies particular CPU generations for OS image compatibility or extended support timelines. We can build with any specific generation 6–13th. Default ship config is 12th gen for best price/performance.
What's the price difference between 6th and 13th gen?
6th gen i5 build: ~$175–$210/unit. 13th gen i7 build: ~$420–$490/unit. Most customers land on 12th gen i5 around $240–$270.
Does it support tri-display with 2× HDMI?
Spec sheet lists '2× HDMI + VGA tri-display' as supported configuration on some variants. For new builds we configure 1× HDMI + 1× VGA standard, plus 1× HDMI via Type-C DP-Alt as third display option.
Can it run Windows 11 with 6th-gen i5?
Microsoft's official Windows 11 support requires 8th-gen or newer Intel CPUs. 6th-gen builds ship with Windows 10 IoT LTSC or Ubuntu. For Windows 11, configure 8th-gen or newer.
How does this compare to the newer SZO-NUC?
The SZO-NUC is smaller, supports newer DDR5 (on Ultra), WiFi 6E, and fingerprint. The SZO-H5 is the right choice when you need legacy generation support, dual storage (NVMe + SATA), or VGA output. NUC for new modern deployments; H5 for compatibility projects.
