Common Questions

FAQ for SZO-N9.

Why include VGA output in 2026?
Many institutional and government deployments (hospitals, schools, transit terminals) still use VGA-only displays. Until those displays are retired, VGA support is a real-world requirement. We keep it; competitors often don't.
What's the difference between N95 and N100?
Both are 4-core Alder Lake-N CPUs at the same 3.4 GHz turbo. The N100 has slightly higher base clock and is the newer mainstream choice. Real-world performance difference is under 5% for signage workloads. We ship N100 by default.
How does this compare to the SZO-OPS-N100?
Same CPU silicon, very different form factor. The SZO-OPS-N100 plugs into an OPS slot on an interactive flat panel. The SZO-N9 is an external mini PC connected via HDMI cable. Choose SZO-N9 when your display doesn't have an OPS slot.
Can I drive three 4K displays?
The HDMI outputs support 4K@60Hz, but VGA tops out at 1080p. Total bandwidth on Alder Lake-N caps real-world tri-4K at 30Hz on the third display. For two 4K + one 1080p, no problem.
Is this Microsoft Teams Rooms certified?
No — Teams Rooms certification requires Intel i5 minimum. For Teams Rooms, see SZO-NUC or SZO-H5 with i5/i7.
