Is this fanless?

It has an internal fan, but the aluminum chassis provides primary passive cooling. The fan only spins under sustained load (>70% CPU for 5+ minutes). For genuinely fanless requirements, contact us — we can build a custom passive variant for orders of 100+ units.

What's the operating temperature range?

Standard spec: 0°C to +50°C operating, -20°C to +60°C storage. For extended range (-20°C to +70°C operating) we offer a custom thermal spec on factory build for 200+ unit orders.

Can it run Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC?

Yes. We can pre-install Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 or LTSC 2019 (still supported through 2029). Ubuntu Server LTS also fully supported.

What's the difference vs the SZO-N9 mini PC?

Both have N100 CPU. The SZO-IPC-N100 has aluminum alloy case (vs ABS plastic), dual M.2 storage (vs single), DP output (vs VGA), and is rated for industrial deployment. The N9 is consumer/commercial grade; the IPC-N100 is industrial grade.

Can I get RS-232 / RS-485 serial ports?

Standard config has no serial ports. We can add 2× RS-232 or 1× RS-485 via factory option for orders of 50+ units — adds ~$15/unit. Common request for industrial deployments interfacing with legacy PLCs.
